On Tuesday October 11th 4th, 5th and 6th class embarked on a Mercy Pilgrimage as part of the Year of Mercy. Their journey began with a visit to Tobernalt, the Holy Well, where they were met by their leader for the day, Colette Furlong. Colette told them the history of Tobernalt, how the Mass Rock came to be, and the tradition of the Rag Tree. Each child wrote an intention on a rag and tied it to a branch.

From the Holy Well it was on to Gilooly Hall for tea and lunch, after which the children were given a talk on Fr. Flanagan. The final part of the day was a visit to the Cathedral where we heard about the Holy Door. After a brief tour of the Cathedral every child walked through the door, before singing a final hymn.
