Bhí a lán gníomhaíochtaí ar siúl sa scoil I rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Ar an gCeadaoin bhí taispeántas faisean sa halla. Thug na páistí I rang a sé éadaí speisialta ar scoil agus shiúil siad síos and ardán ag taispeáin an stíl iontach dúinn.

Bhí tráth na gceist idir ranganna ceathair agus a cúig tar éis sosa ar an gCeadaoin. Bhain na daltaí go léir a lán spoirt as. Comhghairdeas dona buaitheoirí. Bhí taispeántas faisen I rang a dó freisin. Chuaigh na páistí I rang a cúig timpeall na scoile le dramaí beaga a bhí curtha le chéile sa rang.

Ar an Déardaoin, bhí tionól sa hall ar a leath uair tar éis a naoi don Lá Glas. Chaith na páistí éadaí glas ar scoil an lá sin. Duirt cuid de na ranganna dánta a d’fhoghlaim siad sa rang. Sheinn an grúpa cheoil dhá amhrán álainn, agus cuireadh críoch leis an tionól le “Shoe the Donkey” agus ghlac gach duine páirt ann.

There was plenty of activity in the school for Seachtain na Gaeilge last week. On Wednesday, sixth class presented their fashion show to the entire school. Second class held their own fashion show in the classroom. There was the annual quiz involving fourth and fifth class, where the standard of answering was very high, Congratulations to the winners. Fourth class children also presented their little plays to the classes.

There was an assembly in the hall at 9.30 in the hall on Thursday. This was Green Day when the children could wear green clothes to school in honour of St. Patrick. Some classes recited poems, and the whole pupil population sang “Hail Glorious St. Patrick”, before the assembly concluded with Brenda O’ Callaghan leading the pupils in “Shoe the Donkey”. It was great sport.
