Rathcormac National School, Tully, Rathcormac, Co. Sligo

Welcome

Rathcormac National School is a 14-teacher school situated in the village of Rathcormac about 3 miles north of Sligo town on the main Bundoran road. It is a very picturesque setting in the heart of Yeats’ Country under ‘Bare Benbulben’s head’.

Rathcormac National School is situated on the main N15 about 3 miles north of Sligo. Once you enter the 50km/hr speed limit the school is on the right (as you travel north) behind a small open public space in which the statue of Countess Markiekvic stands.

The current school, Colmcille Naofa, was opened in 1975. It was an amalgamation of three schools in the parish of Drumcliffe – the original Colmcille Naofa at Rathcormac, Lugnagall National School in Glencar, and St Finian’s National School in Carney.
