6th Class Orienteering
On Wednesday 24th June 6th class enjoyed an orienteering morning hosted by Community Gardai from Sligo Garda Station and Youth Workers at Youth Action Project Sligo/Leitrim (YAPSL)
As part of the orienteering morning students navigated their way around Hazelwood Forest and gathered flags. Each flag had a question for pupils to discuss and answer.
It was a great opportunity for pupils to engage in thought provoking questions and to learn more about the law. The questions helped prepare pupils for some tricky situations they may encounter as they grow older.
A big thank you to Sligo Community Garda and YAPSL for organising the event. The pupils really enjoyed the morning and gained a lot from the discussions with youth workers and Gardaí.
