Congratulations to our fantastic 6th class pupils who celebrated their Confirmation on Wednesday the 29th May. We would like to thank Bishop Kevin and Fr Tom for the lovely ceremony in St Colmcille's Church Drumcliff. The children all participated fully in the ceremony and our school choir sang their hearts out, adding greatly to the celebration. The children made a presentation to their teacher Mr Kelly at the end of the mass in thanks for all his work and support preparing them so well for their special day. The children also made a presentation to Bishop Kevin on the day. The Parish Council presented each child with a gift in remembrance of this special occasion.
This year a party was organised by our Parents Association for the children back in the school hall. They had missed their communion party due to Covid restrictions four years ago. It was a very special day for all the families as they got the chance to chat up over a cuppa. Thank you to all the parents who supplied the food and treats, helped to decorate the hall and those who helped served the refreshments on the day. Your continued support for all our school events is greatly appreciated by the whole school community.
We hope that the children will be inspired by the Holy Spirit in the days and years to come 🙏.
