What a wonderful day we had in Markievicz Park on Saturday the 8th of June. Both our girls and boys teams were in the finals against Carraroe NS. The boys game kicked off first and it was a fantastic game between two excellent teams . The huge crowd of supporters were treated to some super scores and the game was very tight for a long time. However the boys pulled ahead in the final quarter and won the game by 12 scores to 8.
Next up were the girls at 3.20 pm and once again Carraroe NS displayed great talent and lead the game at half time ,4 scores to 2. Slowly but surely in the second half the girls gained confidence and played brilliantly to secure their win.
We would like to thank Carraroe NS for the two great games, they were played with great passion and great sportsmanship.
We are so ,so proud of both teams and congratulate them on their fabulous performance on the pitch today and the manner in which they played all their games in this seasons campaign.
A huge thank you to our teachers Mr Kelly, Mr Colsh and Ms Bambrick who trained the teams and mentored them so well all year.
