On Thursday June 1st , Justin from the PTAASH visited the 5th and 6th class pupils of Rathcormac N.S. Justin informed us about how the Pioneer Association promotes sobriety and temperance through faith and prayer, setting beneficial example to others, presenting alternatives to the drinking scene for young people and advocating the ideals and values of temperance and sobriety in society.
Justin shared his involvement with the PTAASH and how it has benefitted his life, he also shared many examples of boys and girls our age that have begun their journey with the PTAASH.
Our parish will celebrate the Sacred Heart mass on Friday 10th June at St Colmcille's Church Rathcormac, any student or member of the community that wishes to join the association will be blessed and celebrated on the evening. A letter outlining further details about the PTAASH has been sent home with pupils and I would encourage 5th and 6th class parents to carefully consider this wonderful opportunity.
