We have been awarded our latest flag-Biodiversity- by the Green Schools organisers,An Taisce.
This is a super achievement by everyone associated. We will receive our flag on May 14th at a special awards ceremony in Mayo.
In school, The Green Schools committee lead the initiatives but it is really the whole school community who work together to promote and preserve biodiversity. Thank you to all teachers and staff for their efforts.
Special thanks goes to Ms.Mc Gillen and previous committee members who started work on year one of this two year cycle.
Catriona, our secretary deserves a very special mention too in achieving this flag. Míle buíochas do gach duine.
The Green Schools committee has a few more plans for this year.
We are planting some crab apple trees,arbutus plants,wildflowers and making a stumpery!
The school is also linking in with Rathcormac Tidy Towns too so it really is a commmunity approach.
Tomorrow,Thursday we will be having our annual 'Spring Clean'.
