Some budding scientists from Rathcormac NS had a wonderful visit from Phil Smyth and his team from Simply Science on Thursday. The visit was just part of our prize which students from our school won in late June.
A wonderfully talented group of pupils entered a STEM competition organised by ABBVIE and emerged victorious as Regional Winners of the competition. This is an exceptional achievement from this team of young scientists who impressed the judges with their project - RENEWABLE ENERGY- HOW IT CAN POSITIVELY IMPACT OUR WORLD.
The pupils were highly praised for their project and commended on reaching such a high standard.
As well as receiving the visit today,the school has also received valuable STEM resources and a fully funded visit to a science event.
The interactive workshops delivered in the hall and on the yard were brilliant. The engagement and fun as these wonderful pupils showcased their scientific abilities was a joy to see.
