Wind Powered Cars in 3rd Class
9th Mar 2025
To celebrate Engineering Week, the children designed and made wind powered cars. On Friday, we put them to the test in the hall using a hairdryer. There was great excitement seeing the cars moved at varying speeds. We then discussed what might help in the design to make the cars move faster. The conclusion was the axels and wheels are very important along with the weight of the cars. The children enjoyed the experience. They also learned that perseverance played an important role- one child made 7 attempts to get his car moving.
